	Beer Belly sired 6 County Grands or Reserves in 2009 on limited sows. For an old boar, Beer Belly still makes them stout and we are extremely excited to breed his daughters for the 2010 pig crop as they are tremendous in the crate!
Thank you Shipley Genetics for allowing us to partner with Stallion. In 2009 he has sired 33 County Grand Champions and countless Reserve Champions. Stallion has added a lot of width, depth of body, bone, and unbelievable soundness to our pigs. We have 28 litters of Stallion's born this summer.

We have rides to Colorado/Wyoming area and Texas for pigs in the next two weeks. We guarantee our selection. Some tremendous barrows and gilts available! Some of you wanting to upgrade your sow heard give us a call as we only need to keep back 10-15 gilts from this summer's farrowing!

I Got Time (I Got It x Timepiece) Thank you to McCloud Farms for purchasing this powerful boar. He was first in class two at the Iowa State Fair. His littermate barrow was the Grand Champion Yorkshire and Grand Champion Purebred Market Hog at the 2008 Iowa State Fair FFA Show. Other littermate barrows were part of the Grand Champion Purebred Truckload at the Iowa State Fair and Reserve Champion Market Hog at the Crawford County Open Show. We retained the only two gilts. Thank you for visiting our site. Ploeger Show Pigs is an outgrowth of a 4-H project that started 24 years ago. Although we have never advertised until last year, we have produced a lot of County and State Level Champions over the years. We pride ourselves in selling honest hogs and deal with our customers with a high level of integrity! The majority of our sow herd goes back to an Ulf 166 sow and two 105 gilts purchased from Ron Smith years ago. As of late, we have purchased and produced a great set of sows using genetics from Chuck Olsen, Gary Huseman, and Triple B Sires. It is also important to thank Triple B Sires, Chuck Olsen, Hi-Point Genetics, Top Cut Sires, John Penner, Lean Value Sires, and Rory Duelm for sending high quality semen for our 2007 Spring Pig Crop.
