In the second online sale (May 7) I have asked several other breeders to
put State Fair aged (FEBS) prospects into it. I asked what I felt was
the “best” breeders I knew and felt comfortable with. I did this to give
young folks the opportunity to buy or at least view all the major
breeds, etc. in one sale Here is the lineup
****This is a late sale because we are putting the right aged prospects
in it for State Fair and later shows. It seems like everyone keeps
having their sale earlier each year, which don’t make sense if your hogs
grow. This is the first year for this sale and will probably be a good
chance to get in on some good genetics the right age!!

- Anyone who has a breed champion at a State Fair or National Event automatically gets a $500 scholarship.
- Anyone who has a Grand overall at a State Fair or National Event receives a $1000 Scholarship.

- so your best bet is to come right before the sale - however -- I
understand you may want to see the set as to compare with other breeders
who sales are before mine and I welcome you to check them out.
Young Boars
I generally do not keep any boars - HOWEVER – THIS set was
TOO good not to keep some boars back, especially with the quality of red
boars available in boar studs right now(or lack there of). I have some
VERY GOOD young boars to view, etc. I am not putting any of the young
boars in the online sale and have not yet decided what I am doing with
them yet. Right now I am leaning on selling semen contracts.

The most exciting red boar alive. Extremely wide based and square made - with a true top. Flexible off both ends and fresh as a daisy. He is living proof you can make a red hog that is stout and massive, without making them coarse and tight. His rib is real and is flank is perfect
- If you can’t get excited about breeding red hogs after you see him -- ship your sows.

Side Note - Major Deal’s Dam is out of a BTB son H.L. Gibson purchased from Mappes Durocs and my old Remember Me sow that proven herself as an elite red sow. Her daughters have proven time after time to breed on. MAJOR DEAL’s littermate was the Grand Champion Duroc female last fall in Duncan.
Sow Herd
My red sow herd is built around my old Remember Me sow “Kasey”.
I have eight of her daughters in production, sired by LoveChild, OX, & Hitch.
Kaseys daughters are GREAT mothers and their pigs are always good.
My other red sows consist of BTB, OX, & Lovechild daughters.
